trixbox_appliancePort City Technology is proud to now offer sales of Trixbox PBX phone systems which can be configured in a variety of both hardware and software architecture.  Currently, the most stable configuration of these systems, by far is with a digital T1 interface using a standard Digital T1 PRI card in the Trixbox, we can route most offices with 8 lines of digital phone traffic as well as data with guarunteed 99% uptime with a federally mandated maximum downtime of 4 hours.  This system is highly customizeable though, so if your current situation does not include the budget for a T1 monthly cost, these can also be configured with VOIP or even PSTN analog lines which can drastically cut the cost of the lines themselves.  Although this can reduce the price you will pay monthly, please keep in mind that this price savings comes at the price of quality and flexibility.  While VOIP technology has come along way in the last several years, the unfortunate fact is that most VOIP traffice is carried over public internet infrastructure and can at times be slightly unpredictable.  PSTN lines will give you the same "Ma Bell" quality but at the cost of some flexibility as in the directing of DID traffic in and out of the phone system.  While true DID's are not possible with PSTN lines, we have a way of directing some of the lines as analog DID's but the configuration is not as flexible as the digital DID setup.  There are many variables to consider when thinking about phone systems and the Trixbox has been a tried and true alternative for Port City Technology as opposed to commercial phone systems that don't allow for any customization or optimization.  Call us for a free quote at 843-633-1696 or email us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
